Volvo V60 Plug-In was the best selling EV in Sweden |
With 199 units sold, the Swedish EV Market had a good month, selling 74 more than a year ago and ending the year with 1.861 units and 0,69% share, an increase of 53% regarding 2012.
Mitsubishi Sweden got just enough units (45, to exact) of the hot selling Outlander PHEV to reach the top spot in December, the first time it does since 2011, putting the japanese SUV in a still discrete #6 YTD.
The remaining YTD ranking remained the same, the V60 Plug-In secured the Best Selling crown, the Leaf also won the Best BEV title (46% share for pure electrics), while at the bottom we see the Tesla Model S landing with their first 5 units.
Looking at the brands ranking, Volvo ended in First Place (Recovering the title it had in 2010), with 35% share, followed by Toyota (20% share) and Renault (19%).
In 2014 the Mitsu Outlander PHEV won't be constrained and i predict it will be a hard competitor for the Volvo V60 Plug-In in the race for #1, the Tesla Model S might get in the way sometimes, but i suspect that in the end of the day, the race will be between Mitsu's SUV and the Swedish Wagon.
