Smart Push Edition
Another good month for the Canadian EV Market, with some 529 units sold, pulling the EV Share to 0,27%.
At the top, the usual front-runners (Volt and Leaf), now have new company...And it's not Tesla!
Smart is aggressively promoting the Smart Fortwo ED (Stock clearance?), offering 3.000$ up front, add it to regional incentives (Quebec...), and you've got a car that's cheaper than the gas Fortwo...No wonder 50% of Smart sales last August were ED...
With this recent push in sales, Smart is already ahead of Tesla in the YTD ranking, let's now sit back and wait for Tesla move, who knew that a microcar and a full-size sedan would offer such an interesting fight?.
Other than that, let's salute the Prius Plug-in, selling 11 units, its second best result of the year.
