Top 30 Best-Selling Vehicles In Canada - September 2016

With an all-time monthly sales record, the Ford F-Series was Canada's best-selling new vehicle in September 2016, and by a gigantic margin.

The F-Series outsold its three highest-volume direct rivals combined: Ram, Sierra, Silverado. The 15,659-unit September result for the F-Series towered above the total achieved by Canada's second and third-best-selling vehicles: 12,746 for the Ram and Honda Civic.

The three most popular SUVs/crossovers in Canada – Escape, RAV4, CR-V – combined for 1712 fewer sales than the F-Series. 

The three most popular cars in Canada – Civic, Elantra, Corolla – combined for 14,820 sales, 839 fewer than the F-Series.

Up 21% in September, F-Series sales are up 26% so far this year. With 115,674 sales so far this year, Ford has topped the 100K mark for a fifth consecutive year. No other vehicle has ever crested the 100K marker in Canada.

Throwing all those vehicles into one group results in this list of the 30 best-selling vehicles overall. We end up with four pickup trucks, one minivan, 12 cars, and 13 utility vehicles.

Cool Kids Edition II

In September a total of 146 EV's were sold in Finland, up 109% YoY, with the EV Share firmly north of 1%.

Looking at the models ranking, the Volvo XC90 T8 is untouchable in the leadership, with 211 units, just like the remaining top positions.  

In the #9 we have the first change, with the BMW 225xe Active Tourer rising one position to #9, just like the VW Golf GTE, up one place to #10.

There are two new Kids making waves in the market, the Audi Q7 e-Tron registered 20 units in September, being the Best Seller last month, while the Tesla Model X registered 14 units, looking for a Top 10 position.

Looking at the manufacturers ranking, Volvo is First, with 22% share (Down 3%), followed by the increasingly menacing BMW (21%, up 1%), with Volkswagen (15%, up 1%) in Third.
