| Austria: Next battle to breakdown the establishment? |
Tesla Edition
Some 146 new EV's were registered in Austria last month, with sales up 55% YoY, they are on the right track to beat last year record of 1.772 sales in December, which is a good sign for the future, just like the EV Share, now above 0.6% (Last year it was 0.54%).
Looking at the models ranking, the Model S struck a chord with Austrian consumers, last month it has sold 54 units, a significant departure from the mere 7 sales recorded in the same month last year, and with double the sales of the #2 Renault Zoe, it sure looks that in December Austria will crown the Model S as the Best Selling EV for the first time.
But what about Tesla's real competition? Audi A6, BMW 5-Series, Mercedes E-Class...

Looking elsewhere, the Renault Zoe increased the lead over the BMW i3, while the Kia Soul EV is coming in strong, so let's see how many positions can the Korean jump until new Years eve.
A word also for the Mercedes B-Class ED, now in #8 and with an eye for #7, while the VW e-Up! was down to #9, and to think that the little VW was Third just last year...
In the manufacturers ranking, Tesla is First (24% Share), with Renault in Second (16%, down 1%), and BMW in Third (13%, also down 1%), with Nissan and VW, both with 11%, waiting for a slip of the front runners to reach the podium.
