Outlander PHEV knocks on the Leadership door
In June there were 3.693 EV's sold, down 2% YoY, with the EV Share slightly down to 28,9%, the strongest reason for this slowdown in sales has to do with buyers holding off for the increased range BEV's, coming in the last quarter of the year.
Looking at the EV monthly models ranking, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (521 units) was once again the Monthly Best Seller, the second third fourth consecutive time a plug-in hybrid wins that honor, but this month the rest of the Top 5 ranking is all BEV: The Renault Zoe did its best performance in a year, collecting 398 deliveries, the Nissan Leaf collected another podium position, with 318 units, since the beginning of the year, the Japanese hatch has always been between Second and Third Place, an impressive regularity.
The VW e-Golf has finally broken the downward trend, up 5 units regarding May, with 305 units registered, with the Tesla Model S rounding up the podium in Fifth, with 284 units, a rather disappointing performance by the Californian, considering that in June 2015 it had 566 deliveries...Are people already waiting for the Model X?

Looking at the Year-to-date EV ranking, the main news are the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV edging closer to the First Position, with only 16 units separating it from the VW e-Golf, it won't be surprising that the japanese SUV reaches soon the First Position, which will be a first for a PHEV in Norway.
The Tesla Model S rose to #5 and the VW Passat GTE to #7, while the Renault Zoe jumped three positions to #6.
Looking at the manufacturers ranking, Volkswagen (31%, down 1%) continues in the lead, followed at a distance by Nissan (14%) and Mitsubishi (14%, up 1%).

With 29% share, the EV's performance in the general ranking is becoming increasingly more relevant, of the 1.056 units sold by the leader VW Golf in May, only 476 didn't had a Plug.
If we split models by fuel source, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV was the best selling model, outselling the Golf ICE and the Toyota Auris.
The remaining four Plug-ins in the Top 10 were all BEV's, in #4 we have the Renault Zoe, outselling the Toyota Yaris and becoming the Best Selling model in its class, the remaining three plug-ins are at the bottom of this Top 10: In #8 we have the Nissan Leaf, in #9 we have the VW e-Golf and in #10 we have the Tesla Model S.
