Springtime Records - Norway Edition
EV Sales in Norway continue to reach new heights,, with 3.724 registrations last month, the previous record (3.133 units in March '14) was beaten and the EV Share continues to climb into unheard levels, now at 23%.
To show how science-fiction-like is the General Automotive Ranking in Norway, in March the top three sellers were all electric cars: Model S in First (1.140 units), e-Golf (956) Second and the Leaf (526) in Third.
And the amazing thing is that it wasn't something like a perfect storm, where all of them improved their records, as only the german car broke its personal best, with the other two staying a bit far from their personal records (1.493 units for the american, 716 for the japanese), they just had to do well at the same time.
In #4 and #5 we have two new appearances on the Monthly Top 5, with the Renault Zoe (finally) performing a decent run, with 228 units, a new Personal Best, beating the BMW i3 for the first time and finishing only behind the Toyota Yaris in the B-Segment/Subcompact car General Ranking. As for the Audi A3 e-Tron, the 181 units sold last month not only represent a new record, but also the proof that the Outlander PHEV no longer has the supremacy on the Plug-in Hybrids front.
Looking to the YTD ranking, the Tesla Model S switched positions with the Leaf, climbing to #2, while the PHEV Best-Seller switched hands, now belonging to the #5 (Up two positions) Audi A3 e-Tron.
