Renault Zoe earns Best Seller Trophy
Currently one of the hottest markets in the world, Austria plug-in sales were up 87% YoY, with 2016 ending with 5.237 units, placing the EV Share at a record 1,6%.
Looking at the models ranking, the Renault Zoe managed to hold off the BMW i3 rise and win its Third Best Seller title in Austria (After the 2013 and '14 titles), if by only 40 units. Curiously, in 2014 the Zoe won the title with a meager six units lead over the BMW i3...
Looking at the rest of the competition, despite the growth in sales (Up 17%), the 2015 Best Seller Tesla Model S dropped to Third Place, while the Rookie of the Year was undoubtedly the Audi Q7 e-Tron, which ended in a remarkable Seventh Place, becoming also the 2016 Best Selling PHEV and Best Selling SUV. That's a lot of trophies for a model that only landed in June...
