A common sight on Oslo: The Nissan Leaf |
"Tesla is Number One!" Edition
A Historical Landmark was reached this month, with the Tesla Model S reaching the Number One spot of the General Ranking, with 616 sales and a surprising 5,1% share, ahead of the usual leader, the VW Golf. This is the first time a plug-in vehicle tops the sales charts anywhere, a great performance considering Hybrids took 7 years to get here.
But the good news didn't end up with Tesla, because the Nissan Leaf kept the good performances of previous months, selling 349 units and scoring a seventh place overall. Needless to say, these two contributed greatly to another EV Share record, 9%(!) in September and 4,34% YTD.
The rest of the market didn't got even close to these numbers, but even so it's important to say the 55 units registered by the Renault Twizy, a surprising personal best, allowing the tiny french vehicle a rise to the #5 spot, tied with the Volvo V60 Plug-In.
