Record Edition
The French EV market crested for the first time the 3.000 unit barrier, with 3.356 units sold last month, pulling the EV Share further north of the 1% mark, it is now at 1.19%, with YTD sales now at 12.130 units, it looks that the French market record (16.294 sales in '14) will be outrun by the end of summer.
Looking at the monthly models ranking, we are back to the standard podium, with the Renault Zoe way above the competition (1.485 units, a new monthly record for a single model and #46 in the General Ranking), followed by the Nissan Leaf (295 units) and Renault Kangoo ZE (290 units, best result of the year).
The VAG cousins, Golf GTE and A3 e-Tron, were #4 and #5, respectively, with yet another personal record for the VW product (The third in a row), selling 274 units, if the leadership is light years away from the GTE, i wouldn't be surprised if the german car would reach the runner-up spot several times in the next months and even YTD.

Looking at the YTD ranking, while the top positions remain stable, Tesla climbed to #9, switching positions with the Twizy, while the I-Miev french cousins had memorable performances last month (Fleet deal? Hard discounting?), with the C-Zero reaching a 13 month high (38 units), pulling it three positions to #17, while the Peugeot iOn did even better, registering 101 units, a 41 month(!) high, the last time the franco-japanese registered more than 100 units, we were still in 2012...This unusual performance allowed the iOn to jump three positions to #12.
The manufacturers ranking has Renault comfortable in the Throne (52% Share), although it is losing 5% regarding last year, followed at a distance by Nissan (11%) and Volkswagen, which now has 8% share, up from only 3% last year.
Looking at the BEV / PHEV ditribution, after a number of years with plug-in hybrids representing +/- 5% of the market, this year PHEV's have risen to 16% share, outpacing the growth that pure electrics have been experiencing.
