BMW X5 shoots for #1 Edition
Unlike other booming markets, the Italian EV market is still rather dormant, having registered 205 units in November, up 21% YoY, a rather respectable, if not enthusiastic, improvement.
The EV Share continues at 0.15%, or 0.03% above last year (0.12%), which itself was 0.01% above the 2013 result (0.11%)...You can see the trend, right?
Looking at the models chart, in a stable YTD ranking, the headlines in November were undoubtedly for the perfect landing of the BMW X5 Plug-in, scoring 33 units right in its first sales month, shooting straight away for Best Seller status, beating the existing competition last month to reach #1. Will this sales level last? Only time will tell.
In other news, a reference for the Tesla Model S sales streak, with 15 units sold last month, it marked the sixth consecutive month in the two digit area, its best performance yet, allowing it to reach #8 this month, and with the Sixth Place only nine units away, if the american sports-sedan is able to score a good performance in December, it can even finish the year in #6.
Looking at the manufacturers ranking, the chronic leader Renault is ahead, with 25% Share, followed by Nissan (17%, down 1%) and BMW (14%, up 1%).
